Crafty Ladies During the late 70's the Lodge was in some financial need. The people that were then participating in the Lodge were also not socially active with each other. Both of these things were not conductive to a fraternity of brothers. One day, in 1979, Larry and Judy Ard called a breakfast meeting to discuss both problems. Out of this meeting was born 'The Crafty Ladies'. Their primary purpose was to make money with special events, and in-house catering, and to contribute it to the building fund to help with the maintenance and other building needs. What they created is an organization of ladies that not only have made a huge difference to the physical structure of the Lodge, but have created a sense of family and intimacy that have made this Lodge unique.
